Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"I’ve been a smoker my whole adult life. My nephew has been growing as an ACMPR patient for a decade. I finally decided to unburden him with my requests for trees and instead solicit him daily for advice."
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"Seeking advice or assistance from professionals at farming and garden stores in my city. Farmers don’t know which soil to grow pot in. I have learned to test samples of everything I possibly can before I use the product in my grow."
What makes growing rewarding?
"Providing myself with medicine and the community I discovered along the way."
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"Green Crack. My first. Impossible to kill."
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"My wife and I have used cannabis for recreational and medical use for many years. After I received a medical marijuana card in 2010, I wanted to grow our own to ensure we were getting the best meds possible and know they weren't spiked with anything or overly chemically grown."
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"At first just learning as much as possible and what to do for each situation seemed like a lot such as spider mites and how to feed your plants, which grow equipment you want to use etc... but after a while, it all came as second nature."
What makes growing rewarding?
"Finally getting to smoke your own supply and not having to go purchase any."
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"I like cheese strains because the buds are really dense and they grow good as a bush. Not all lanky like kush strains and it's a really dank bud!!"
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Find a grower that you can ask questions instead of wasting your time on the wrong path."

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"Wanting to be able to make my own medicine, with the knowledge of what went into producing it: growing environment, nutrients, handling."
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"The environment, it continues to be the biggest challenge. Especially in a climate like Maine where the weather is constantly changing, therefore the grow environment is under constant monitoring. The perfect lighting option is constantly changing as well."
What makes growing rewarding?
"Seeing that all your hard work has created something that can heal an ailment. A reward is also hearing others say it has helped them!"
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"Right now, I am enjoying SexBud by Female Seeds. Growing it isn’t very hard, it’s got thin leaves and a structure that is perfect for light penetration but not too lanky. For me, it’s a very uplifting and motivating high. It will have you dancing through the aisles of a store, and even lives up to its name in the right situation."
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"I often tell people that there is nothing wrong with experimenting. Try different lights, soils, nutrients, and even methods of growing. Try transplanting, try cloning, if you want. Keep track of milestones so you know what methods work best for your environment. Not everyone gets the same results, so do what works best for you!"

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"Good quality buds are not common in Brazil, normally I'd smoke Paraguay's pressed brick weed! The third time I smoked a "real" flower, it was a lemon haze! Well cultivated and cured properly! The taste! The smell! It was something out of this world... From that point on I knew I HAD to grow my own Cannabis!"
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"The first step to overcome was finding a space to grow! In Brazil growing Cannabis is illegal so it was a sensitive matter. The second step and perhaps the most difficult thing was to find information and knowledge about growing... At first I didn't know where to look! But if you dig deep enough there's some valuable material online! Instagram was a solid source of information too!"
What makes growing rewarding?
"I think it is the opportunity to learn from the plants! The game of reading it's reactions and needs... Gardening has also been a well-known practice to stimulate happiness and inner connection! I just love to see the different aspects, smells and colors of each plant, it brings me joy to see them thriving!"
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"I actually do not have much experience in growing my own Cannabis! I can tell you about the Jack Herer I am growing! Super tough, she coped with my mistakes and is now just entering the flowering period!"
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Quality before quantity! Grow organic! I use natural agriculture only, and it's been such a rewarding experience! Being able to take what's around you and putting it to good use! But the most important thing is to study! Read a lot, research and follow up the new techniques and findings! The best way to grow good stuff is to understand what we are doing, why and how we are doing it!"

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"I was about 15 when I discovered what weed really was and from that moment it became an obsession of mine."
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"The amount of deficiencies there are was overwhelming. It's not as simple as looking at it and knowing what's wrong."
What makes growing rewarding?
"The quality. Knowing where it came from, how it was grown, and treated."
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"Northern lights. It's my favorite strain and I love small bushy plants."
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Focus on how to grow and not how to yield. Treat your plants like a baby. Grow strong healthy plants and the yield will come."

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"I’ve loved weed since the day my friend Lou past me a hit from his momma's bowl years ago. The vibes and people for the most part surrounding the plant are great, but the bullshit with legality pushes people into a shady market. I've been robbed multiple times, cheated out of my money with pebbles in the bag or soaked weed that smelled funny, even disgusting bud covered in bugs and mold. I’d like to say I found someone reliable but they are even sketchy from time to time. In an effort to drive those affiliates away and gain a different perspective on the plant I decided to start my first grow!"
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"Watering and feeding habits."
What makes growing rewarding?
"Seeing, smelling and smoking the end product after waiting so long!"
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"I personally have only grown bag seed so far. Would really love to get my hands on some Cheese, I miss the smell! "
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Yeah just this one, I’m learning this still - “less is more” concerning plant food, you can always give them more if needed later on."

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"I have epilepsy and a combination of CBD and THC takes 99% off my seizures away, pills failed terribly."
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"Being patient and waiting for the final medication to be ready. It's worth the time and effort and patience "
What makes growing rewarding?
"Growing such a beautiful flower that can beat epilepsy and gives back independent living."
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"Jack Herer hands down the easiest to grow. It's most effective against seizures and pain"
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Be patient with your plants, the reward is much more valuable than the time spent growing, a little goes a long way"

Why are you passionate about growing your own herbs?
"Seeing other great growers on YouTube and Instagram really inspired me to start growing myself. There are so many great growers out there giving out great advice. Go find those that inspire you too! "
Were there any obstacles that you had to overcome?
"The curing after the growing has been difficult to get perfect, but it is just as important as the grow itself. Just like a nice dry-aged steak, there is no rushing, it takes time, so be patient."
What makes growing rewarding?
"Getting to experience the fruit of your own labor is very satisfying. Growing up, strain selection was extremely limited and usually poor quality, so being able to have both variety and quality is also great."
Favorite strain to cultivate?
"Easiest strain I've grown so far is White Widow. Very vigorous growth and can handle a lot of plant training. In contrast, Jack Herer was one of the more difficult strains to grow, less vigorous growth, and more sensitive to nutrients, but the quality of the final product was the best I've ever had. Hopefully, I can find a happy middle ground eventually."
What growing tips do you have for the aspiring seedlings out there?
"Do not be afraid to train your plants. This plant is extremely resilient and has bounced back from everything I have ever done to it. Topping will allow you to have multiple beautiful colas instead of just a X-mas tree. Bending will allow you to shape the canopy evenly. There are many other training methods such as super-cropping, low-stress training (LST), FIMing, etc. Don't worry, duct tape can mend almost anything. Watch some YouTube and try it out! "
